I was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia and spent my childhood in West Vancouver. After graduating high school, I played junior hockey on the North Shore and in Nanaimo for two years before obtaining a degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in 2002. I then completed a Masters in International Affairs at Carleton University and my law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2006.
I returned to Vancouver to start practicing law, and became involved in biathlon and cross country skiing as a coach, official, and ski club board member. In 2019 I moved to Kamloops where I am currently practicing law as a sole practitioner with my firm Green Circle Law.
In 2022 I started working for Biathlon Canada as Sport Development Manager where I am responsible for coach and officials development, youth development, and the organization of national level competitions.
